Parenting in the Twenty-First Century

To parents is committed the great work of educating and training their children for the future, immortal life. Many fathers and mothers seem to think that if they feed and clothe their little ones, and educate them according to the standard of the world, they have done their duty. . .  Solomon did not say, "Tell a child the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it." But, "Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it." Child Guidance by Ellen G. White, page 38

Train up a child in the way he should go, And even when he is old he will not depart from it.  Proverbs 22:6

Parenting

The responsibilities associated with parenting can be overwhelming especially when dealing with the strains on everyday life. For Christian parents who take seriously the Biblical command to "bring up your children in the discipline and instruction of the Lord", we offer "Parenting in the 21st Century"  workshop. The workshop has been developed to help parents address problems unique to raising a Christian family in a time characterized by new technologies, threats and challenges.

The goal of the workshop is to provide parents a forum to discuss new ideas, share experiences and learn new skills. Much of the heritage of righteous child rearing and preparation for a holy life has been lost, but we can recover it, and we hope to be a part of a revival of the Christian home with the development of this workshop.

A one day seminar that presents a Biblical blueprint for parenting.  Topics include the key functions of a father in parenting, developing a childs healthy concept of self worth the role of discipline and more.
